Episode 228 – Kirby and the Amazing Mirror

Welcome to Retro Month for The Lost Levels podcast! All throughout the month of August, the podcast crew will take an old Virtual Console title and take an in-depth look at what made each game a classic, or why it was left in the dust to be forgotten. All games we discuss will be available to play on either the 3DS or Wii U eShop!

Today we’re talking all about Kirby and the Amazing Mirror! This Kirby game released for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, and brings a very unique style to the Kirby series! Similar to Metroid/Castlevania games, you traverse an open world (called the Mirror World in this game), and can go anywhere in any order. There’s lots of new copy abilities for Kirby, lots of bosses for Kirby to take down, and lots of collectibles for Kirby to collect! Each member here today has played the game, and has had a different experience and final opinion about the game! You can consider each member’s opinion to help decide if you want to buy the game on the Wii U eShop!

SpiderStaryu is the Kirby and the Amazing Mirror MASTER, and he’s the host today! He’s joined by the juiciest cast in the history of podcasts; SuperZamezi, Sol, and returning after nearly 2 years… Timmy!
