A Nintendo podcast for all things Mario, Zelda, Wii U, 3DS, and more!

SuperZambezi On October - 15 - 2014

Welcome to our monthly Video Game Lodge. To briefly explain, the community will vote and then play a game for the current month. At the end of the month, The Lost Levels will release an in-depth analysis on the game.

No poll this month! Instead, we have already picked our game for October: Luigi’s Mansion!

This classic GameCube title won’t take more than a few hours to complete, so you have plenty of time to finish the game and send in your questions before we record our podcast of the game on October 25.

Use the chatbox below to see where others are at in the game, ask any questions, or just enjoy and share what the game has to offer. And of course, leave your questions for the episode in the comments below (I recommend finishing the game before asking questions!).

For those wondering what happened to our previous VGL, most of us simply did not have the time to play through Metroid Prime, and it did not coincide with our schedules. Hopefully we will record an episode on the game when we are all ready for it!

  • Fire Hammer Bro

my scariest ghost is the butler.

    • DetectiveDuplighost

Shivers? I didn’t find him scary, just derpy. The scariest ghost has to be Chauncy (the baby), Sue (the girl that sleeps on the ceiling), or The Clockwork Soldiers (self-explanitory)

      • Spiny Bro

yeah, shivers, I knew his name, but I forgot it, he is the scariest because he looks I dont know, but he looks like a creepy ripoff of dracula, Dracula is not scary, but Shivers is scary for me.

I played through this game a bunch of times. On my file, I already have the number 12 on it.

This is literally one of my first video games. Anyways, this is for everyone. In my opinion, this game was much more scarier and creepier than luigi’s mansion 2. My question is, do you think Nintendo games are becoming easier and more “cheaper” than older games? If so, why?

Luigi’s Mansion was, other than Super Mario Sunshine, the first game I’ve ever played. Had a hard time with the game when I was very young, but now, I’m able to beat it with no swear. A short, but good game at its finest. Good times, gooooooood times.

  • Mother4Eternity

I loved this game when I was young ( even though I couldn’t beat it ) the butler creep me out , he looked so scary but now that I’m older I can’t help but laugh :)

Wow… I wasn’t expecting this… Here’s a suggestion: Do the RPG Games: Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, Bowser’s Inside Story, and Dream Team. =p

    Finally a game I have!

In order to beat the entire game, you must capture at least 40 out of 50 Boos in the game. Do you think the requirement of capturing 80% of the Boos in the game provides challenge or is it too demanding?
